Re: Dash

He's referring to the dash shell. Mine was cracked up the middle. Replaced it, started to crack again but I caught it early. Problem is, the only replacement is another 20+ year old plastic one....

Re: matching/replacing one panel in a seat?

No problem. That's the beauty of this forum! My swap turned out pretty nice, overall. I have a hole on the side from my seat originally being a passenger side (hardware switches sides for driver side...

Re: Air Conditioning Parts/Plug

I love a good trip to salvage, I just knew the only two Camaros in the lot didn't have it in tact anymore. Glad to know it is in fact the same on other GM cars. I may be frolicking through the mud...

Air Conditioning Parts/Plug

My air conditioning on my car works great... sometimes. Unfortunately, this plug seems to have burnt up some at some point (you can't see it in the picture, but it's there. Cleaned it up some, the...

Re: matching/replacing one panel in a seat?

Yeah. The only difference that I noted when I switched a manual seat cover/seat to the driver side was the tracks on the bottom and the button panel on the side. The seats themselves are not...

Re: What does the TGO committee think of this Iron Duke Firebird?

Ew, good catch, Chaz. Almost didn't see that rocker. That looks potentially pretty nasty. Too bad. The rest of the car looks pretty good and I shudder at the idea of someone else picking up and...

Re: Two part Speedo Cable

I've had that out too many times to count. Replacing the printed circuit, replacing the dashboard shell, etc... This is the same way I lubricated the top half. I'm still curious about that middle...

I have the same two-piece cable setup and have never been able to get much information on it myself. I also haven't had much luck getting the middle connection open. Looking forward to what this...

Re: matching/replacing one panel in a seat?

I don't know about their Firebird seats, but the seat covers labeled "cloth" under Camaro are the velour seats. Classic offers pretty poor reproductions as far as trying to achieve an OEM look goes....

Re: matching/replacing one panel in a seat?

Resurrecting an old thread, but I just picked up a set of four seats for fifty bucks. They're in pretty good shape, except of course the driver side, and now I have two good passenger seats.

Re: Need suggestions: Molded hood insulation

I won't make much of a difference being just one person added to the list, but I would be willing to pick one up. $80 really isn't that much if it's an original looking piece that fits like it should...

Re: 1985 Iroc-z, 5 speed, t-top, lots of pictures opinions?

Take a good, close look at them. They should be the same fabric as the door panels, which is a tweed-type of material. Those seats appear to be a velour with diagonal stripe pattern to mimic the door...

Re: 1985 Iroc-z, 5 speed, t-top, lots of pictures opinions?

Seats have been recovered, but otherwise looks pretty original. Those are the "oem style" seat upholstery covers they offer on Classic, I think. Very nice car.

Brand? Are these a direct bolt on (do you know of any under the hood conflicts with a stock car, etc). What size is the y-pipe?

Re: A pillar trim moulding re-install - '88 Camaro hardtop

They fasteners will fit, but they aren't the same, at least on my car. The pillar trim didn't fit quite right when I tried the ones that were on my door.

Are you in this area? I've eyeballed that ad a few times. Been listed for a while now. Too much work to do on my own car to worry about another so I've never looked into it.
