I used HighTeck base coat (Victory Red) and Finish 1 FC720 clear on my mustang back in June.I was pleased with the quality and price....

This not really an answer to the rear end question but I say swap T56 when your ready and not let the rear end hold up the swap.

My camaro has an LT1/T56 and a 4.56 gear,last year the pinion let...

I am pretty sure that it cannot be used,the only indicator for the LT1/T56 f-bodies was the skip shift indicator.

I thought it would be cool if it worked also.

I used the wires and senders from my 88 for my oil pressure and temp on my Lt1 swap.

I am not sure on the F4 ignition wire.

I am pretty sure I spliced my a/c input/request wire from the Lt1...

That is an awesome Iroc..I love the blue,87 deluxe cloth seats,and it's a 5 speed.

I used the ecm wiring from the c207 that runs through the pass side kick panel to power the ecm and check engine light.

It may take a while to finish the swap but it is looking great. I wish I would have taken pictures and kept up with it as I swapped mine.I was on a shoestring budget and worked on it basicly an hour...

I would move the port back further on the header,since it has aftermarket headers I don't think moving it will cause a failed inspection.

The a/c compressor on an LT1 swap is a real pain.
