Darn. I just replaced the motor and silly me never changed the mounts. I guess I can try jacking the car up some more and trying to access from underneath, but lifting the motor seems like a fool...

Thanks alot bud, I will so just that. Gotta Google this some more. When I pull the bendix out, it rotates and strikes the flexplate and doesn't engage sometimes.

Ha Ha got it all figured out now. The only issue I'm having now is starter alignment. There really aren't many ways to bolt the starter up, yet the starter grinds and the bendix gear gets stuck.

Yeah, you are right. I ended up just cutting the tip of the wire and inserting and crimping a space terminal connector.

No the crank wasn't reground. I am using the stock parts that came out the motor, just cleaned up and new bearings. Weird because the old bearings dont look bad. As far as the scratch, it is enough...

Yup had lubed it up pretty well. Used (and the exact name escapes me) but It is an assembly lube that I used from Lucas. Not sure if using a oil additive like lucas heavy oil stabilizer would help...
