You might want to check with 9bolt.com because they show a 2.77 as a 2 series carrier. The 2.92 and up gears requires a 3 series carrier. http://9bolt.com/gears.html

Have you tested with a ohm meter the continuity of the ground cable and starter cables? Also, there are fuseable links in the circuit. Do you have a wire schematic?

I realize the HOT ROD test didn't show adding HP to the test engine, but you can see the percentage go up as HP is applied. I guess that's what i getting at. (in the 455 test)
