Re: 86 IROC Z-28, 305. WHY WONT IT ACCELERATE???

To change the shocks you'll need to remove the carpet and stuff inside your vehicle so that way you can remove the 2 sides' bolt/washers holding the top of the shocks in. Then you'll need to have...

Re: 86 IROC Z-28, 305. WHY WONT IT ACCELERATE???

You may have multiple issues with this car. It sounds like you could be having some transmission issues along with issues with your distributor, a dirty throttle body and intake, a dirty MAF can hurt...

Re: 86 IROC Z-28, 305. WHY WONT IT ACCELERATE???

I hate to say this but it could be your transmission. Hopefully not. I know you mentioned up top that the transmission is seemingly fine but to be honest with you, my transmission was doing what...

Re: Anyone raced a new Nisssan 350Z?

I'm just stating a fact that a stock 3.1 liter isn't going to beat up on a 350Z unless it's modded up really good. Even then, a V8 modded up really good would be more believable. I am not trying to...

Re: Anyone raced a new Nisssan 350Z?

I don't know if anyone else here would agree with me but I seriously have a hard time seeing a stock 3.1 liter V6 Camaro pulling ahead and beating on a 350Z. Those 350Z's aren't the fastest cars in...

Re: Is this 86 worth this money?

Hmmm.... I'm not sure how what I said originally was seemingly disrespecting your car. I was just replying to your thread asking if $300 is a good deal for this car. Good luck.

If I had the room and found what you found for $300, I'd buy it if it was in decent enough shape today.

I'd pay $300 for it even if it had some rust.

Re: St. Louis, Missouri area F-Body guys

You can always pick up some nice 4th Gen. rims from a T/A or a Z28. Those look better than most of the 3rd Gen. rims in my opinion.

Re: St. Louis, Missouri area F-Body guys

Yeah, I called my mechanic up and he said it's fine to drive on because all it has is older fluid mixed in with the new fluid he put in for me last August.

If I did a flush it's a gamble too....
