Ya the wires your talking about are at the back of the car i spliced into the fuel relay on the fire wall and hooked the green and white wire to the power wire for the distributor to activate the...

I havent checked the timing yet just for the fact that the engine came off the dyno and everything was tuned so i didnt want to move the distributor. I guess i could pull the distributor wire and see...

Ya I'd agree with the last post if you do really have two different heads then you need to get rid of one so they have the same compression on both sides. If that is the case it must run pretty rough.

Ya if it was me I'd rebuild the whole bottom end with all new bearings and change all the bolts to arp cheap insurance for the bottom end specrazy with high miles

I'd still recommend replacing the rings but if you want to just get the car running you can roll the dice and put the heads back on and see if it still burns oil you might get lucky.

Well since it's down to the block and it has 187xxx miles I'd at least change the rings it's better to do it now then putting it all back together and finding out you should of changed the rings and...

Well if the motor is all together then check each piston with compression tester if all cylinders are good chances are it's your valve guide seals in the heads that are gone

I've done it a few times your good with 7.350 and your right the smallest wear pattern in the center is what you want. You don't want a wear pattern over .080 if you can't achieve that with pushrod...

I'm assuming the motor is all apart? If it is take the piston out turn it upside down with it still attached to the connecting rod and put it back in the bore make sure it's a good 3-4" in then take...
