The resistors should be in a series (1 after the other) Also, IIRC you need to clip pin 10 also, everything worked fine when i did it. just read closely.

My fuel gauge didnt work what-so-ever until i did this fix. IIRC The reason it wasnt working was because of poor contacts when the cluster was put back into the dash. I would Try pushing the cluster...

The cam and heads have no casting number on either... its weird.

Cam has L98 hand engraved into it. its a hydraulic roller. (corvette maybe)

I was under the impression the heads are corvette...

Personally, I'm a fan of the TPI setup. Just replace the Intake manifold and runners, do some porting and you have a strong engine that will be very streetable. Great take off and plenty of passing...

Unplug all sensors, disconnect shifter, remove all hydraulics.
DRAIN THE TRANNY, otherwise you will be laying in a big pool of tranny fluid.

gears from the factory are what determine the carrier. if you have aftermarket 3.73's for a 2 series, you should be fine

factory ratio 3.08 and numericaly lower = 2 series

Well, I started matching up parts while my T-5 is already down, and I found my torque arm mount had a little bit too much metal from a welded on washer (looks stock) so i had to grind it down for all...

For anyone still viewing this helpful thread, i have successfully repaired my tach (89 Iroc) by clipping pins 4 and 10 off, and soldering two 100k Ohm resistors in a series to bring me to 197.1k...
