I had the same problem, but my suspenion was unloaded. the car was on jack stands. When I put the car on the ground it didn't hit.

I used the compressor unit from the LS2 (out of a GTO) bought a block from Doc's blocks and some new A/C line and fittings. A new drier from O'Riely, replacement part. Cleaned the original...

I used a K-member from Spohn and it worked great for me. You can use it for daily driving or what ever, I just drove from Houston to Memphis and back for the LSX shootout. Not much on weight...

My exhaust totaled out to about $3000. The headers are from Hawks third gen w/2.5 collector. Once again looking for streetability with ground clearence. The Bassani kit was for a fourth gen LS car...
