My radio kept re-setting - found the problem

For the past several weeks, my aftermarket stereo would re-set itself when I was driving over especially bumpy roads. Oddly, when I hit the sides of the radio housing console while stopped, it would...

Re: Headlight replacement

Just so I'm clear, are the Sylvania Silverstars drop-in replacements or do you need to install relays to avoid overheating the dashboard switch because they draw more power than the standard lights?

Re: Brake Booster???

Sounds like it may be a combination of things. I got a new booster from CarQuest when mine went bad with the same symptoms (extremely high effort to stop and a sound of an air leak under the dash).

Re: floor/ courtesy lights

Is there a hole in the bottom dash cover for a light? When I got my car (which does have them), the socket hadn't been pushed back into the hole on the plastic dash cover.

Re: My LED instrument panel project!

That looks really nice. I'll be interested to see how the climate control comes out since the factory set-up is a joke as far as seeing the controls at night.

Re: What can I use for Headlight-Headlamp Switch Nut?

Re: My new best friend for interior cleaning

I use these on the Z28 wheels and they are the best and easiest way I've found to remove the brake dust. My only complaint is that they get a little expensive, but they definitely do the job.

Re: My (mechanical) speedometer is noisy

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I fixed the trip odometer a while back. My J-clips were broken, so I used monofilament line to hold the shaft in place and it's worked very well for 2+ years.

My (mechanical) speedometer is noisy

I've replaced and greased the cable from the transmission to the dash, but I'm still getting noise. It sounds like it's coming from the speedometer itself, like the gears inside are the source. ...
