Re: Vinyl wrap complete!

That wrap color is really nice, it looks pretty close to the stock bright red. Does it match pretty good? And where did you get a roll? I'm looking at doing that same type of color on my 86 IROC-Z.

Re: 86 IROC-Z Auto w/ 3.23?

The 3.23 is optional with the G92 package? So shouldn't both GU5 and G92 be present on the printout?

Sorry if I'm making this more confusing than it needs to be.

Re: 86 IROC-Z Auto w/ 3.23?

I thought the options for an auto were only 2.73 and 3.42, I must have been mistaken.

86 IROC-Z Auto w/ 3.23?

Everything I read says this should not be an option, but here's the RPO code list (note the "GU5" and "MD8").

Re: 305 to sbc 400

Steam holes should fix any heat related issues with a 400, assuming you have a decent cooling system (this doesn't take much).

Also, what thermostat is in that?

Re: Did I put a bunch of holes in my gas tank?

Well, just my opinion, but screws arent exactly difficult to take out. If they want your stereo and break in your car, they are getting your stereo.

The alarm though, that should help. :)

86 Camaro, would like a new steering wheel

I really like the look of the 90-92 with the airbag, and the 4th gen ones. Would those be a direct swap into my car? Obviously I don't need the airbag to work or anything like that :)

Engine break in question

When you have a new engine and your in the break in process is it unusual for the timing to change?

I don't remember what the timing was when I first got it going but its 12 degrees advanced now.

3.42 with my 700r4 best combo?

From what I've been able to find it seems like the best gear set to go with would be 3.42 for a car with an automatic transmission and a 305/350, even if modded a bit, right?

3.73 is overkill?

Fuel economy to me is a plus but not an absolute need. I just don't want to throw a new carb on and see a dramatic drop in my MPG.

Power is fairly important, when I want to it to go it should go....
