the ECM is set to fire the injs at a specific time. if the timing is way off they would be firing at the in correct time.

id seriously get a good shop manual w/ a damn good electrical diagram...

this doesnt make it sound electrical at all. this is sensor related problem.

your timing needs to be set correctly on b4 any troubleshooting can be done.



the fuel filters for our cars are not in the engine bay they are...

that would have dumped coolant this first time you started it and no way you would have not noticed it.

to bypass it all you have to do is take the hose from the other side of the TB and conect...

nothing saying you cant run a higher than regular grade. running a higher grade will give you slightly better MPGs.

thats what i tought. i originally purchased the 24#ers then exchanged them b/c southbay recommend 27s. i may god w/ the 24s and see if theyll exchange them if there not performing.

unplug your MAF and she if it still runs the same. if it does prolly need a new MAF. start small and work your way up.

not throwing any codes? codes wont pop until a certain number of starts. check your TPS voltage. start w/ the little things usually always is a sensor.

i went w/ UMI and i love it. using a set of KYB shocks all the way around. a big improvement over the crap i had stock(was extremely wore out).

ive had no complants thus far w/ the UMI...

why not just get a cam the biggest cam you can use w/ your stock tune and some 1.6 rr's? that should keep you under a $1k. from what you mention you already have a cam and 1.6s should get you what...

adding an exhaust is about all you can really do w/ your knowledge right. its fairly simple to do.

if you get into changing intakes, runners it will be a waste of money unless you match heads...

could be a fuel pump relay going out. had a similar problem awhile back and changing the relay worked. i also changed the MAF relay along w/ it. about a year later the fuel pump died.

well it looks like the deal i got for the heads is going to go through. ive been considering using a thicker head gasket to bring the CR down a bit to hopefully avoid any problems.
