mine has 17's and 3.54's but the 360 engine and i pull a 16 ft trailer it weighs 2800 by itself then we haul the cars we restore that weigh between 2000-4000 pounds and don't have transmission...

good race , as long as its tuned right no problems with nos, i dont know how it would make the gears grind. just make sure tuned right and everything is setup right and all should be good.
