stainless steel carriage bolts are VERY SOFT grade stainless. i would thing that a 3/8 bolt wouldnt break, but i would never use them for a braking application.

edit. you may be better off using a 4th gen hanger and having it modified. save you time and money if a shop does it.

quality aluminum lugs are going to run you in the 200 range. team z and racecraft carry aaron p lugs and champion wheel sells their made-in-house lugs. both are very similar.

i really do have billet aluminum lugs.... i dont know the weight savings, but in my hand, the whole set of aluminum is lighter than a couple of steel ones.

the factory head casting will be the limiting factor in boost 20+. decks are thin. good gasket and stud can only clamp it so much.

i agree with 1320 for the most part. if you are starting from scratch and have the funds, a 9" strange 12 bolt drop out housing is the best of both worlds, IMO.

why do you prefer the 12 bolt? ...
