Please ignore my incompetence, i found it, it goes onto the back of the alternator, the ECM problems were unrelated, ground on the right head was completely off.

Im assuming the ECM has power because the idle air butterfly or whatever is next to the main butterfly, is opening on key turn but im not sure. the tags expired in 2013. i am more on the mechanical...
