So did the compression ratio for the 350 TPI change over the years? I see many keep stating 9.3:1, however, my 88 GM service manual states 9.5:1 for the L98 and 9.3:1 for the TBI and 305 TPI.

Does your car have ground efftects? That was my biggest gripe......it looks bad on non-gf cars. It does not tuck up nice and goes all the way out to the fender bolt mount flange, hits it and sits...

Do you mean check endplay on the axles?

Before it was ever put in the car I had to have the end of the new axle machined down because there was too much thickness on the other side of the C clip...

hmmmmm, that's not helping my confusion at all.......the motive one (first aftermarket axle) has a button that is 0.25", but the stock ones are smaller at just barely over 3/16".

So going by the moser website (i think that was the brand i looked up) they are supposed to be 30 5/16" in length. With both out now, the stock one is definitely 30 5/16" from the back of the flange...

So it is normal to have a little end play on the axles (when pinion shaft is in) and for the pinion shaft to pretty much slide in by hand, correct?

I guess i will pull the axles and compare to see...

Do u think there would be an issue shaving just a tiny bit of the end? if you can't get it perfectly square my concern would be the axle either digging into the pinion shaft or allowing in and out...

There appears to be some kind of plastic tube that the wires travel down through to protect them but it is just barely larger than the wires, so i don't think there is anyway that the plastic harness...

If you unplug the IAC while running what should be the result? When i unplug it, nothing happens, it idles just the same (a little rough). Does this indicate anything or is that normal for the IAC.
