Re: My 95 350 TBI Rad Issue

UPDATE: Put the old rad back in. That fix wasn't a great idea and glad I didn't drive it that way. The old rad had a small crack that I JB Welded months ago and hadn't leaked since. It's in better...

Re: My 95 350 TBI Rad Issue

Wanted to add, this is a temporary setup to keep driving the vehicle until I can order a new non-damaged radiator. I do plan to drive the van maybe 100 miles or so this way in the upcoming weeks.

My 95 350 TBI Rad Issue

I hope you don't mind me asking a question regarding my '95 Chevy G20 Van, as there's a lot of overlap between that and my 3rd gen.

It's a 350 TBI, stock radiator setup. I replaced my cracked...

Re: 92 TBI Electric Fan not turning on when hot

The fan is NOT turning on today unless I engage the AC. I also tested if the fan would engage if I manually grounded the coolant fan switch wire and it does. So, I'm thinking I have a bad switch or...

Re: AC Compressor for 1992?

Thanks! So, I did the work and replaced the compressor, dryer, orifice tube. Added 6oz pag oil to compressor, vacuumed the system and added the freon. (r134a). Air blows very cold! :)

Thanks! I'll be doing the work over the weekend and will follow your advice.

So, to make sure, add the 6 oz of PAG to the line, don't just pour into the compressor?

Re: Replacing A/C compressor in car already retrofitted to R134a?

Next question, should I perform a flush of the system, different from a vacuum, to get out all the old oil?

Thanks for the info. I'll call ACDelco, really just to rule out the oils bad for this application.
