Re: '88 GTA convertible, home at last

Thank you very much! The top is original and still in pretty good shape, I think I'm going to just have the window replaced. This car still has the original power pull down motor for the rear of the...

Re: '88 GTA convertible, home at last

Dropped the tank, replaced the pump and sending unit, and it fired up like it was never parked. Up to 50k miles now. A new set of BFGs did a huge service for the ride. I absolutely love this car....

'88 GTA convertible, home at last

Been chasing this car for years, finally got to take it home. It was my dad's car when I was a kid, he's tickled to death that it's back. '88 GTA convertible, bright red, gray leather, digital dash,...

Stock 3.73 limited slip 10 bolt that came in the car, original down to the 38 year old/59k mile diff fluid, lol. I have no idea how it hasn't broken yet.

'84 Trans Am, back from the dead and killed again

I bought this '84 TA as a roller on a stroke of dumb luck a couple of years ago. Got it home and found no rust, a perfect interior, and the RPO sheet listing a 3.73 posi disc rear and WS6 suspension....

Wound up getting it running, the '91 is still up for sale. Went with a 406 and a V6 T5 in the black car to get it running, still hunting a T56....

Re: 1984 Trans Am, all expenses spared.

Thanks guys! It's been a good project to learn on. Everything else I've had was a constant battle of fixing what's broken, it'll be nice to have a car that's pretty much new from front to back.

Re: 1984 Trans Am L69/T5 roller, a few questions.

I'll be going T56 in case I go further eventually. I see no reason to go T5 if there's a good chance I'll need a beefier trans later on. That, and the lower cruising RPM would be nice. I put 12,000...

Yes, I planned on swapping to the dual electric fans out of a newer car. As for the drivetrain, I have a 40k mile LT1 long block on a stand, it'll likely get a carb and a mild cam and get thrown in...

1984 Trans Am L69/T5 roller, a few questions.
