Thanks for the photos. I just solved your problem. Attach a ground wire from the 10mm screw attaching the solenoid to the body ground location below the pull-down unit. That will solve your problem....

Yep, they made a mold off an original Jongbloed/Sunnoco hood. Be aware that ANY fiberglass hood, even an original Jongbloed hood may require some prep work before you paint it.
