Re: Rod Bolt Design Question

Thank you! I've seen lots of people give random torque values from 45 to 51 and none of them gave me warm fuzzies. I was leaning towards doing the 15/85 anyways, even though I couldn't find...

Re: Rod Bolt Design Question

I'm trying to find torque values - which all indicate there's two different designs, and that dictates what torque values to use.

Re: Rod Bolt Design Question

From what I understand, some 2004 and all 2005+ got the gen 4 rods. I don't think any gen 3 rods were free floated, and I don't think any gen 4 rods were press fit, so I'm fairly sure I've got the...

Rod Bolt Design Question

Hi folks. I'm hoping someone more familiar with the LS platform can help me with this.

I've got an 2005 LQ4 I'm putting together. The rods are the gen 4 style (beefy, floating wrist pin, etc)....

Re: 11:1 compression on 87 octane possible?

Compression does affect power, though. In a direct A:B test you could find that increasing compression will increase power output across the entire curve 2-4 percent, and that's without optimizing...

The bleeder goes up. The air will pocket at the highest point of the caliper, so that's where it makes the most sense to have the bleeder screw.
