Easiest way would be to be to use a dog leg offset. Why take units apart? That would put the post connector away from the side of the cover. It should be easy enough to fabricate.

Sorry, you can't say Gatorbacks and Dunlops in the same sentence! The Gatorback's were terrible in the rain and did not hook anywhere near the D40's. Why the 10-12 sets.....,well its a 200,000 mile...
