Re: Junkyard Power Swap - 350 into 92 V6

Well, After three weeks of playing with the trans...I'm out of ideas.

My next guess is to drop the valve body and make sure all valves are moving freely.
The governor is fine and I even swapped...

Re: 700r4 locked into 1st

The governor looks just like the one out of my v6 700r4, but with bigger weights. It doesn't appear to be bad and moves easily. I even swapped the v6 one in for awhile and there was no change in...

After that it became a cleaning game. Similar to the engine, I covered the K-member in oven cleaner and walked away. I came back two hours later with a hose and it was pretty much clean.

Re: '87 V6 to 350 Swap

First off, nice Camaro! As long as the rust isn't all the way through those body panels it shouldn't be to tough to fix. How's the underside for rust?

The main misconception with v6-v8 swaps is...

Well nobody else has thrown their hat in the ring, I'll go for it.

What happened to the engine? Depending on the level of destruction, this can be a "cheap" block swap or a total engine overhaul....

Junkyard Power Swap - 350 into 92 V6
