Re: 89 IrocZ rear window

That’s surprising as you’re in AZ, I’d think there are plenty of tint shops there that wouldn’t have a problem. I’m in NV and have tinted every third gen I’ve had and not one shop has had any issue....

Re: M/C solenoid clicking after engine starts

No codes. Guess I just never noticed it clicking after the engine started. By why would the idle improve by unplugging it?

M/C solenoid clicking after engine starts

Lately my Lg4 has developed issues at idle. It will idle at a low rpm and one time stalled. The M/C solenoid does the initial clicking when the key is in the On position for about 20 seconds then...

Agreed. Your engine bay looks great. I removed a few things from mine to open it up a bit. Makes changing plugs so much easier.

Re: I don't see anyone else's grilles looking like this.

I was thinking the same, letting the hot air escape the engine bay, and removed the cowl induction parts connected to the hood. It really worked well. It allowed a tremendous amount of hot air to...

Re: Need help about buying an 82 Trans Am

You need to stop looking. Jk. It seems that when I’m NOT in the market for a car, I find the ones I want. And of course that happens right after I picked one up. Lol

Re: 85' WS6 correct dash cluster???

The Firebird gauges updated in 86. Your 85 should have the same 85mph speedo as the 82-84 Birds. And if I’m not mistaken the 86 and up speedos were no longer cable driven.

Re: Question about buying an 83 Trans Am Please help

I am digging it too. If the CFI is problematic I’d switch over to carb. Price is too high. If everything checked out, $6000 would be my limit

Re: Question about buying an 83 Trans Am Please help

Took me a minute to get “the triangle of death”. Lol. Agree with it being a parts car, although unless I’m missing something, the seats look to be in excellent condition.

Re: Need help about buying an 82 Trans Am

Re: anyone running 255 50 16

Tire selection for 245 50 16 is limited. For 255s, it’s almost nonexistent. I think BFG is the only option for a daily.

Q-jet spring

I’ve read that the fuel filter should have a spring next to it but when I replaced my filter I did not see a spring or a gasket. Should I purchase one? Not certain what purpose it has.

Re: Aftermarket Sway Bar

I looked at that one. That’s pricey for a used bar. I realize it’s powder coated but over $200 dollars, that’s new bar pricing. Why do they claim a 34mm bar is 36? I see Summit sells a QA1 35mm bar...
