I think they do that to allow the window to seat in a groove in the upper window seal instead of just smashing against it. It seals better and is better for security. It wouldnt be too hard to design...

That whole box should just lift out. Most sub boxes just sit in the well. Its going to be really heavy and it helps a lot to have 2 guys, I've done it alone and its doable just takes some muscling it...

The wattage is essentially the max power the resistor can handle. The current of the circuit is so small most any resistor will be fine. 1/2 watt, 1 watt, 2 watt, whatever watt. Cutting it is...

Picked up these seats and console for 200 bucks on craigslist and just got it in. Still need to work out the shifter boot and clean it all up but its in and way better! Ill post more pics of install...

ok thanks for the responses. So it sounds like i could use the T5 and with mindful driving still have a reliable driver. I could live with that until a t56 came around

Fixed the issue. It was a case of previous owner bamboozling. I tried to look inside the heater core box area and saw the plastic was actually broken and the axel that has 2 doors rotating on it had...

I swapped a disc 89 diff into my 90 (upgrading from drums) and swapped the valve from the 89 car at the same time. It threaded right in for me, piece of cake. So presumably an 89 valve would work...

I just checked again and they look pretty good. I can see the vacuum lines that go into a bundle of wires and I believe into the firewall. Couldn't hurt to change them but they look fine.

I have only heard of the cable clamp idea for the record. I don't see why it wouldn't work and I was going to do it but I recently took apart my brake lever to lube it and when I put it back in it...

this is the exact problem I posted in this section last week. Get some cable clamps to shorten the cables if you cant or don't want to get the adjuster.
