try cleaning the wire and the bracket for the coil. I had a similar situation that was caused by rust. all I did was clean the bracket for the coil and bolted back on. it worked pisser.

i had the same issue with a chev 2.8 liter that was in an old AMC jeep. my issue was a broken tooth on the flywheel.

Newer cars have pumps that sit at the bottom of the sump (sock touches the bottom of tank). IIRC we have a pick up hose. the reason they run them like that is to prevent cavitation. By this measure...

have you had your distributor opened up 91'CamRS? i know on my TPI the injector pulses are modulated by the pick up coil. mine had some corrosion and was causing nearly the same issue.

if its original then its a good idea to replace it anyways. if you have a vac pump you could see if its moving by applying vacuum to it. the problem might lie in the circuit itself. check the wires...

if you know where your EGR is check and see if its in good condition. i know the ones on the TPI cars you can move the diaphragm by hand and see if the valve is moving freely.

No problem with the help. unfortunately im not very familiar with TBI. what i can tell you is the best thing you can do for yourself is at the very least get a hanes manual for your car.

the constant 12 volts should be run from the orig. radio fuse in the fuseblock.

if your CEL / SES comes on at all, a diagnostic trouble code is recorded for later retrieval. read the instructions...

even if it isn't it should be fixed.

if your check engine light is on you can and should pull codes. if you cant pull codes your likely dealing with a bad ECM.

that is a mess. i hate OE carbs. i had an edelbrock on mine and i loved it. so simple.

what happens if you disconnect the vacuum line from that vacuum actuator on the pass side?

if that vac reading is on a car ideling @ a normal RPM then that is too low.wouldn't hurt to check for vac leaks.

get your self a DMM or analog. i sell a cheap DMM for $12.00. it isnt great but it gets the job done and its what you need to fix this.
