I almost positive from everything I read and from my own car, that the Fronts came with Delco struts from the factory.

1986 iroc-z -- 50 or so 5.7's were made for testing purposes
But 5.7 consumer production started for 1987 model year

I think your old rear springs are just old and weak so the car was sitting lower than it originally did back in 1992. Your old springs are longer but weaker so they compress down to the height of...

also check your "torque arm Bushing".the rubber on the mount that the torque arm is connected to or the mount itself is broken.

Did you use the reg oem mount or poly-urethane? because even when I had my weak LG4 305 old motor I broke it 5 times in a year...lol I changed it to polyurethane and never had a problem again.. ...

in 85 there were 3 diff. 305 versions...
lg4-305 carb= 155hp
l69-305 carb -High output=190hp
lb9-305 TPI =215hp
I think the l69 was only offered in the iroc as an option

right you have to see and drive it first, find out what the motor is from, because im sure you know that there were no 5.7's in 85.. so 90k original what? body - motor? and dont just jump on it...

if its an original engine then its a 305 tpi (Lb9)by your vin #
305`s came with manual and auto
350` only Auto
On the back of the block there is a stamp that will say 5.0 or 5.7

Alot of guys don't want to hear it but if you want more HP get rid of 305. Its just not worth building for performance.

Looks good, did you check the floor pans for rust? Alot start rusting by driver side foot rest area, from water leaking around the cowl... when you get it, post pics. Would love to see more of her....

Did you put back the stock tail pipes? Or it came with them. The smaller diameter tail pipes quieted my car way down to almost stock sound.

check for a short.. disconnect the neg on batt and put a light tester between the neg cable and batt, and shut interior lights off or just take bulb out, the light tester should not be lit but if you...

Keep your car, and put a 305 or 350 in your car, when you can.. your looks like its in much better shape from the pics.. and that tin can doesn't look too good there..l

for the original engine, the easiest way is to look at the vin#...
Look at the eighth digit--- 8=350, F=305.Tpi, H=305.Carb, S=6cyl. That's it for 1987

Well a few years ago I replaced the carpet... When I pulled the carpet out there must have been about 20 - 30 roaches.. Lol not the live crawling 1's but the special 1's u smoke..some werent even...
