There's not much you can do at this point. Maybe there's some ind of debris blocking the outlet to that side of the axle in the distribution block.
I'd try loosening the fitting of the hard line in...

If it runs through the clutch switch, then I can see how manually shifting would bring a knuckle close to that switch, even in a Firebird, and then releasing the hatch.
In auto trans models e-brake...

I think I know what you mean. The only way I see it doing that is by binding somewhere. Maybe some grease would help. I'll have to check that.

Hi guys. When I go over a bump or pothole my hatch lid will pop open at times.
My hatch struts aren't strong enough to push the hatch open, so the latch will remain in position and the pull down...

If that print is ABS, you can use acetone fog to smooth that out a bit before going to work with filler and sanding.

Here's a quick update about a job done quick and rather dirty... kind of the damage control type of work.
The plastic part of the lid on my center console has cracked and broken up over the years...

The rubber drip guard on my passenger side's t-top finally got on my nerves enough for me to seek out a replacement.
It kept getting snagged between the window and the seal up front which eventually...

Soooooo... that didn't help at all.
Well, at least I now have the spring in there, but my hopes for it helping the actuator in any way were for nothing.

Give the linkage a look. Perhaps you're having the same issue and cause.

I found a seller on eBay who was willing to help me out and put a linkage into the mail.

I'll update once it gets here...

Day 2. You can remove the pin from the lower hinge by squeezing the two prongs together and pushing it out toward the top. Take the body-side hinge, push out the old bushings using a vise and replace...
