My T/A is an 86' EG4 car and decomputerized the engine (as well as upgraded :burnout:) years ago and never had a interruption with my speedo. Sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere.

I had this same problem on my 86' T/A. I have a four inch edlebrock high rise intake so I just used the drop down air cleaner with a 2" filter. fits fine.
