My stock 86's T/A did that. Never find out the exactly problem. I think it is more of a fuel boiling issue. Is it flooding the engine from time to time?

My T/A is an 86' EG4 car and decomputerized the engine (as well as upgraded :burnout:) years ago and never had a interruption with my speedo. Sounds like you have a bad connection somewhere.

Yea, a return line is must since vapor lock is a problem on these cars. I have experienced it once already. Thank god for the glass fuel filter I have that I could see that NO gas was moving. thanks...
