Adapter Thickness Advise

Ok I bought some 17x9 +50 wheels that I plan to use on my 85 TA with drum rears(might change to a 4th gen disc rear later). Now I bought these wheels kinda for all my cars cause they will bolt on my 86 C4 but I plan to swap them with adapters to my TA and C3. I want the fitment to be more flush with the TA and C3 just w/e.

Think I am gonna go 245/45r17 all around for now and I can always go 275/40r17 later on my C4 A guy on her has sim wheels 275/40r17 and used 2" for front but he had a 4thgen rear, so I'm thinking 2.5 adapters all around maybe. Might even go 2.6 or 2.7, since the calc I used shows bout 0.6 diff in the tires and the C3 will be 0.5 more. I mean I could always slap on a 1/4 spacer to dial in the c3 a lil better.

Anyways just figured I'd get some opinions, since I got time to mull it over.

My math would be 2" or better, 1.75. Ideally you want between zero and + .5" of offset for a 17x9. Depending of brakes and other clearances

I got 2 for the 275's but 2.6 for the 245's and think it was 3ish for my C3 Might have to mock something up before I order or see if I can barrow a 2"
