I am getting close to finishing my car to point where I can put new rims and tires on to finalize drive train. I've read a bunch on these items, just wanted to get everyone's opinion before I pull the trigger. Thoughts?

I have a 92 camaro that has an LS engine with Tk6060 transmission, Strange S60 rear end, Koni yellow shocks/struts, hotpart caster/camber plates, full adjustable suspension (lower control arms, panhard bar and torque arm) an poly bushings. I will be getting lowering springs, thinking of Vogtland springs. After I get new tires and rims on car, can order custom driveshaft that I need.

Front 265/35/18, tire height 25.3 inches, sidewall 3.7 inch

Stock tire 245/50/16, tire height 25.7 inches

Pilot 4s are the bomb for a summer street tire. I have the previous mpss on my Focus RS. love that combination of grip and longevity. When the SS in the RS wear out, I'll be replacing with the Pilot Sport 4S. great tire.

I've had the Michelin Pilot SuperSports on all my previous dailies.

Sadly they don't make them in the size needed for my GTA's 17x9 rims. To get them on my GTA I'd either have to step down to a narrower tire, or step the rim size up to an 18".

Nice quality wheels at a more than affordable price tag!! As for the MPS tires you can't go wrong. I bought some MPSS 285/35/18 and will install them on 4 corners. I also saw another Graphite ROH 18X10 wheels style set on Ebay that fit our cars without spacers but I am a die hard fan of the Ronal's and will hit the target on Hawk's 18X10 newer version any soon...

Thanks for responses, appreciate it. I'm going to order rims and tires soon. I am also getting the votgland springs. They seem to lower car just the right amount and have decent spring rates. For a while, I did think about the Hawks aftermarket Ronal R15 rims. They look great on third gens at certain picture angles. End of day, I think they would look too flashy with lost of metal from the spokes. 17's might be okay but 18's might be too much? Tough to tell until you get any rim on your car. I had similar rims on 89 Mustang GT and made car look great. I feel good about the ROH RT rims after seeing many pictures of them on third and fourth gen camaros. Going to get smoked side marker and parking lights so will match well with black ice coating on ROH rims.

Continental and Pirelli make tires close in performance to the michelins but for a few hundred more, michelins seem worth it based upon reviews and tests I've read. It is odd to see what sizes each manufacturer makes. They do not all make the same sizes per rim diameter. I could maybe go up to a 295 wide tire on rear but might get into some rubbing issues.

91z28ss, what other rims did you see. Thought only camaro fitted rims ROH has available in US are three listed on this site.

I've had a set of ROH RT wheels for 20 years. It has some curvy spokes that look good on Firebird but I don't think it will look good on Camaro. The Camaro has straighter lines and I think needs a wheel with straighter lines. Take a look at the ROH Sniper.

Yes I agree, the RT's look good on Firebirds. I am not fan of snipers. I like Ronal R15s but think with 18 inch size, they are too much. Don't know if anybody has these on a camaro yet since they new. Most have 17 inch R15s. The later camaros have balance between curves and boxy that works well for many rims. I think getting RT's in black ice coating will help mute them a bit. Below cars look good to me.

Those remind me a bit too much of the Torque Thrust Its. Which I like, but at the same time I don't like because I see them on too many cars.

Good Planning on the adjustable suspension. I have no opinion on 'Vogtland lowering springs', but I don't like the marketing terminology. I have MPSS on my G37XS and love them. I am waiting to put them on my Formula, but choice of wheels, jewelry, is holding me up. That's how I think of wheels - plus weight considerations.

I prefer Hypercoil springs (they have a rep) - have them #900 front and #250 back. You've done a lot of good work, but then say Vogtland lowering springs "seem to lower the car just the right amount." Continue to be diligent with your choice in springs, too, don't punt to a "seem." If you have an adjustable suspension, then have the ability to adjust ride height, or you don't really have an 'adjustable suspension.' Weight Jacks up front for sure, and WJ's in rear or coilovers in rear. You've done soo much good work with your car - don't stop short.

In general, Camaros look better in 5 spoke; Firebirds in multi-spoke. Avoid spacers on front, a small one on back is acceptable. You'll need the bigger studs on the S60. A 35 is a thin sidewall, you should consider a programming change with the LS to incorporate a 40. Just consider it. Again, WJ's will help you position it in the wheel well.

I'd guess you have your reasons for different tire heights, front-to-back, Blackdog, but for front tires, 26" tall, 255/40-18 is perfect for the 18x9 wheels, and it would seem to be the appropriate match for 25.9" tall, 285/35-18 rear tires.

I didn't know anyone here knew of Hypercoils; Hyperco is not exactly a household name. I've had a set for many years. But somewhere along the way I decided to go with GCWJ for their adjustability, so the Hypercoils have remained in their box, still new, never installed. I cannot confirm the spring rates, though. 800/175 seems more familiar than 900/250, but it's been so long that I don't remember. And I'm thinking the drop is slightly lower in front than rear, something like 1.5"-1.75" front/1.25"-1.5" rear. Hyperco's story, IIRC, is that they originally designed springs to be paired with Bilstein shocks for racing. I'd gladly part with them, but they're an excellent example of why cars are so heavy; they're a hernia waiting to bust out! It wouldn't be cheap either. So shipping them is something I have no desire to deal with.

Height Adjustment makes things much easier especially with different size tire height or even manufacturers. I have weight jacks up front and RideTech coilovers in back.
I didn't like the Eibach 9.5" springs, so I replaced with the Hyperco 11" springs which were also about #1.5 lighter. Top quality springs.

Sorry for the late response! I was talking about the ROH Drift-R. You can get them in either silver or graphite color with a choice of 18X9 on 4 corners or staggered 18X8 fronts & 18X9 Rears.

They remind me the ROH ZS wheels found on the Stang's and our Maro's... They are made out of magnesium which I think are lighter than aluminum cast. If I remember they were selling for 1250$/Set on Fleabay

Still working on putting car back together but wanted to post a few update pictures. I did purchase the Michelin tires and ROH RT rims. Tires shipped mounted to rims which saved me trip to mechanic. In person the rims are amazing. The black ice coating was worth the extra money. The rims are angular and also smooth from varying angles. Picture up close of rim is with flash so you can get sense of the black ice coating. Second picture is without flash and normal shop lights. Also received Vogtland springs, had to wait a month for factory in Germany to ship them out! The tires seem really nice too, hopefully I can try them out on the road in a few months. I know rims are personal to everyone, just glad found style that I like.

Thank you! I took LAFireboyd's advice so all tires are about 26 inches tall which matches stock height. For some reason I did not think about the 255 tire size. Sizes bought noted below. Front rotor and caliper in picture are LS1 style. Would be nice to have bigger brakes to fill out rim but it looks fine. Not swapping parts now
