Re: Any pics with 19" wheels?
So I ended up going with 245/40/19 and 285/35/19. Unfortunately they sent the wrong tires (235/40/19) but I decided to put them on any. They ride is fine. I probably could have gone with shorter tire walls but I prefer the height of these tires. Fills out the Wheels wells better in my opinion.
not a fan of the over utilization of corvette and Camaro wheels but the looks good !!

That looks so aggressive I’m assuming it’s lowered to? Mine is at the stock height. 20 is just too big but I think 19 will be just right
as long as I have no rubbing With the right tires

yes definitely lowered. Had weight jacks in some pictures and DSE 2” springs in others. I think 19” is the perfect size. But many people will disagree and say 18” is the perfect size. I think both look good though. But 17” is too small in my opinion and 20” is too big.

Jeff the car looks great! ...I've got a medium grey 88 Iroc, but yours doesn't quite look factory. Almost looks satin. What color is that? Visually, I prefer a good ole 16 or 17, but I know brakes and tires typically demand larger. That being said, yours is probably the best looking 19" wheel combo that I've seen, especially with that big ole rotor in there! Very nice.

Re: Any pics with 19" wheels?
i have the 2013 ZL1 Brembos (14.5”). Some 18” will fit and some won’t. The 18” wheels I wanted would not clear the rotor/caliper. I think 18” look good too. I just prefer 19”. Especially when you go with a 2 or 3-piece wheel. The loop makes the spokes look smaller so a larger wheel somewhat offsets that b

ahhhh....I wondered if it was a wrap! -I'm in the sign industry, and I've considered wrapping mine. The paint isn't good enough to wrap without some work, plus I think the idea of a properly built, but worn out looking Iroc would be pretty cool.

Re: Any pics with 19" wheels?
Of course whenever I check out to wheels that’s like 19 x 9 1/2 eith. 5x120 bolt pattern and always says it doesn’t fit. Does it need to be exact to what Chevy says? Pretty sure it’s 5x120

Re: Any pics with 19" wheels?
also, looks for wheels that fit new corvettes/camaros. Same lug pattern but you can add spacers/adapters.

Car looks great, Jeff. I'd have guessed it had been dipped, but wrapped was my next guess. Peel/dip coatings are getting huge. DIY painters can have fun with all of the color-shifting, dip coatings, always experimenting, spraying, peeling and respraying, changing it as often as he is so inspired. Great videos on youtube from a company called Dip Your Car. Hours of binge-watching fun. Looks great for graphics, too. In one video they spray a beautiful car to make it look like a rusty "barn find." Abubaca could probably have great fun with dip coatings on his new project.
But back on topic, as "recently" as 2005, the Corvette was just getting 18" wheels, and anything larger than 17" on a 3rdgen was considered taboo... or worse. Nowadays, 18" seems to be becoming the most popular upgrade, likely inspired by the BIG brake upgrades of today. True, such large brakes are overkill, but such large wheels need those large brakes, and a good stance, to balance a car's appearance. And you've set yours up beautifully with 19" wheels, Jeff. Even the black license plate is a fitting "detail," not the typical eyesore.
So now it's 18", with 19" growing in popularity. But 20"? At some point it will get too difficult to keep everything in proportion. But we'll probably start seeing it sooner, than later.

Re: Any pics with 19" wheels?
I am building a ground up resto mod 91Z28 and was thinking I would need to go with 20" or so to get the look I want. 19s might be the answer. The gray car looks amazing.
Great job.
I am getting brakes from Bear most likely. Biggest that will fit, but this will be a show car 99% of the time. Air ride and all.
Looks like you went with ZR1 calipers. Keeping it all GM, was that the angle? I really like the look of the old C6 Z06 Calipers but they are complex and expensive for what you get.

Hi Jeff,
Beautiful ride. I'm building an 85 right now with a 525hp LS and came across your car with the exact wheels and color i was going to do. I was wondering if i could chew the fat with you about a few questions io have. Feel free to PM me when you get a chance.
Thanks
Scott

Thanks Jeff. I tried to PM you but i guess i can't yet.
I need to order the rear end for my project and i was going to go with a Ford 9" and i can get it custom sized. I was wondering what rear end your running and how the wheels fit? Any spacers or anything?

Re: Any pics with 19" wheels?
Variant Helium semi-gloss rims
19x8.5 +0mm offset front (255/35 tires), 19x10 +12mm offset rear (295/30 tires)
I did roll the fender and used the 'hammer' menthod in the wheel well but i am not sure if I had too. I did while waiting for rims to be delivered and before I had the car painted.
