help in buying wheels
I'm interested in buying a set of wheels from a guy off craigslist. He says they came off a BMW and I know the lug patterns are the same, but does anyone here know if they will be a direct bolt on? They're 18 inch wheels. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: help in buying wheels
There are several BMW lug patterns. 5x120 is close, but not the same. Some people get away with it, some people dont. We are talking a .7mm difference in lug patterns so... up to you.
Even if they are the 5x120, you will likely need spacers or adapters anyway.... at least two.

Re: help in buying wheels
Do a search on machining BMW wheels on here. There was a thread about it. If you don't machine them then the wheels may not center correctly and it puts extra strain on the studs. But your call.
