is traction possible with 18's?
So I have a set of y2k vette rims on my 92 and I need new tires. I was looking to get something that will hook better. Is it possible to get traction with 18 inch rims? The tires on it now will break free in 3rd gear with a bump of the clutch.
My cousin has been working on this 2004 GT its a 4.6 I guess he claims it has gt40 mods whatever that means. Anyway he keeps saying how its got so much more power than my lt1 which hes never even seen run, he does tend to gass up everything by a bit. So anyway I want to run him down a 1/4th just a few times this summer. I have never done it and think it would be fun, but even if i have more motor its worthless if hes getting traction and I'm spinning up to 3rd gear.
Is it wise to put stickier tires on something with wheel adapters?
can anyone recommend a street-able sticky 18 tire?
