dont get me wrong, those are nice, but i dont think chrome would work with the hugger orange and flat black... that would be the only chrome on this car

Chrome is hideous. They are not chrome they are silver.

They also come in black.

I'm not debating the look, but $465 a set is dirt cheap - so cheap that they are not going to have the quality of actual GM OEM wheels and are probably not even DOT tested and approved.

Hey Paul they actually get quite the good reviews...Seen many good reviews on LS1 tech. Just dont get chrome.

Id have to say, your wheels are a close second in my book. CTW wheels are an awesome option.

Just make sure if you get those wheels you do not get the one you posted. That is the wrong bolt pattern and more than likely the wrong backspacing if you are looking to put a "fat" tire on the rear like you mentioned. You need a 5x4.75 bolt pattern. Then depending on the tire you choose will help decide what backspacing you need. Probably anywhere from 4.5"-5.5" backspacing on an 8" wheel will tuck them nicely for you.

Iroc replicas are very nice, just impossible to find a set that is not chrome. They would look 1000x better in a stock machined finish.

Thanks, man.

Just not a fan of low end mass produced wheels made in some 3rd rate factory in China. One manufacturer contacted me a few months ago about selling their 16" IROC repros - they would retail for $100 each and (quoting the sales guy had a mass production facility in China running 24/7 making these wheels at very low cost. Not much of a margin for a seller, but a potential nightmare if there are product failures - no warranty and no assumed product liability from the factory. Good for a fly by night wheel place that is going to close and move in 2 years anyway, but not for us - we want to be around for the long haul. Just told them no and not to call me again with offers of junk wheels.

Re: looking for an opinion on wheels for my fresh restoration

sorry to say, but im still looking for 15 inch wheels, so i can fit a 275/60/r15 on the rears, and probably 235s on the front... probably 8 inch wide rears, and 7 inch wide on the front. keeping it stock height, so i want to stuff the wheel wells.. what rims out there would look good? guidlines for wheels: 15in black, preferrebly steel... and what backspacing do i need to use the 275/60 in the rear with no mods???
