Help me choose a wheel-profil10, epsilon mesh and now Speedline
I'm about 85% complete on my car. Just needs interior installed and a tune. I'm trying to decide what wheels to keep on it. I currently have these 3 sets of wheels and want to sell the other 2 sets. First set are on the car now.
Epsilon mesh, 17x9 or 9.5 don't recall
Third set is Fikse profil 10 18x10 fronts, 18x11 rear

I'm kinda leaning that way also. They look nice but 18" tires aren't cheap

Well I have tires for the epsilons. That's what's on the car right now. The 18" have track tires all around. Hoosier tires, the Fikse FM5s don't have tires but I can swap over the ones from the epsilons. I want to sell the two other sets that I won't be using but I can't decide lol.

Which one don't require spacers... Looks like the Profile 10 are a vette offset.
For using the looks as the only basis, I would pick the FM5, and if they were 18" I would make you an offer

If the FM5s were 18" I think I wouldn't be having a debate about them. But being they're 17" I'm probably going to sell the FM5's. Kinda narrowed it down to the Profil 10s and the epsilons.

That's kind of a hard choose really. Im kind of leaning towards the FM5's but I think they look way better in an 18" size. The epsilons are awesome wheels but they don't flow well your car. They'd look better on a black car or if the centers were painted gunmetal. The Profile 10's don't look very good at all, They need lots of dish.

Fronts are 17x9.5, rears are 17X11. Ftonts are 8" back spacing, rears have 9" backspacing. Running an LS1 lenght 12 bolt, fronts 1.5" spacer. Send me a pm if you're intersted or this guy you know of lol.

Re: Help me choose a wheel-Fikse FM5,profil10, epsilon mesh
I like the FM5 better verse the other two
Pro: You can swap tires with Epsilon mesh and save for GOOD tires
Tires are slightly cheaper in the long run
They look badass
Cons: none really ive heard the lip can crack if you hit a pot hole hard enough but its a 17 wheel so you have more tire for protection so not really a con
The Epsilon mesh
Pro: Hmmmmm cant think of any
Con:Would look awsome on a firebird and thats about it it doesnt look right on a
Camaro at all maybe and big maybe if the color was different
The Profile 10
Pros:are nice wheels
there are 18 which is the sweet spot
Con: BUT Wheel needs more dish for being such a wide wheel it doesnt look right IMO
The offset and the width you have to pick the right tire size to pull it off
Too much stretch of the tire can ruin the look
Tires can be more expensive especially when running those widths

I'm aiming to possibly keep the epsilons since they're such a hard wheel to come by. Get a 3" outer barrel made and give me a more offset look. Butting the rears at 17X11. I just need to sell the other wheels so I can stop getting ideas.

You're right about the profil. I'm also a huge fan of the fat lip look. But I'm very limited by the LS1 length moser. I'm probably going to narrow the rear 2" on each side so I have more room for the "fatter" lip.

keep the epsilons always nice to have a spare set of wheels
you camaro will handle so much better with 10in wide up front.... amazing !!!

I was debating on keeping the Profil for the 68, and just swapping the rear barrels, painting the centers.
The FM5s might just be my track tires. They fit so nice on my 99 camaro, which needs a sticky tire. I get Zero traction on the 18" it has right now.

Thanks yeah all my local friends that have seen it at the body shop or at my house just fall in love .
Well see I have so many ideas and so many cars lol, 500 rwhp 1999 camaro SS, 68 camaro that is getting a 2012 CTSV LSA 6.2 , yes should be in the 550-600rwhp, and an 07 trailblazer SS that I'm just waiting for head gaskets and bolts to finish a new cam, head swap. Estimated 440-450rwhp.
I was debating on keeping the Profil for the 68, and just swapping the rear barrels, painting the centers.

I would love to post pics of my other builds but somehow if it's not thirdgen related people tend to get in trouble here.

Re: Help me choose a wheel-Fikse FM5,profil10, epsilon mesh
I love my cars, but looking back I'm sure I would have better off not buying so many of them. I have roughly around $15-25K in my garage just on spare parts that I'll "eventually" use. I keep telling my self that.

lol hey why not just stay healthy you will eventually use them its always when you sell something you realize that you actually needed to use that part
but thats the reason why i resisted and have one camaro but im thinking about gettin a thirdgen convertable lol but idk i might be getting station overseas in a year so idk will see
yea forum is pretty strict

So I thought I had narrowed it down and then my partner at work decides to tell me that he had a set of 18X10, 18X9 Speedlines sitting in his garage. What to do now lol.

The profil 10s are kinda growing on me for my 68 Camaro. Brembo 6 piston front, 4 piston rear and a mellow 700rwhp engine might make it interesting.

Yea you do lol. My original plan of getting rid of all my extra parts isn't going so good. I got rid of a few items but getting this set of wheels already takes up more space than the total items combined that I sold.

As for suspension I might order a DSE or art Morrison co
Plete subframe. As for rear I might go with an independent rear or something to be able to plant that power yet adjustable.
Parts for sale are my spare TFS 215, AFR 205s, Fikse FM5s, also the set that I decide to keep. Probably either Speedline or epsilons. Other set will be available sooner or later. LS3 intake, L92 heads, and a bunch of misc parts. Covers, sensors etc

oh ok i see what are you running in the iroc ? looks pretty clean im getting there slowly but surely... did you paint stock iroc-z white or you got a different color code ?
dump the speedline more i look at it the more i think porshe
seems like DSE would be better/easier as HEIDTS makes bolt in IRS for the rear
but Art Morrison are equally sweet and should be more rigid tough decision there
i thought you sold fm5 already ?

Mellow because it will have a cam more mellow than my Iroc. The entire drivetrain will end up costing less than my Iroc build, yet will make almost double the power of it at the Rear Wheels.

I guess I'll decide on front subframe when I figure out the fuel journey that awaits me lol.
As far as FM5s, I had 3 sets lol. Sold two sets, I have one set left. Which is FS.
Yes 3! Sets. The boxes you see had a set prior to shipping lol.

I like the profil10's, but I think they need more of a lip. closer to the lip on the mesh wheels.

On the 68 I'm still debating on T56 or 4L80E. I have both in my garage and weighing the pros and cons.
Yea, I'm sending out my 12 bolt to get narrowed 2" per side, and getting all new barrels made on what ever wheel I keep. To give it that deeper lip look. Also so I can run a huge tire out back.
