can i fit 275 tires on the front of my car?
i have an 88 firebird and i was looking at getting a set of 275/35/18 tires front and rear and i was wondering if there would be any clearance issues on the front. my wheels have an ofset of about 40

I run 275/40/17 with no probs. Its all in your backspacing...

I've got 275 with stock back space and I get a little rubbing on the liners front and rear near full lock.

is this a car for autocross? If not, why do you want a tire that large up front. Tires that wide become very expensive. Would rather do the typical 8 inch front and switch to rims with stickies at an event

That's what I do. The roads where I live are really crappy and very wide low profile tires are uncomfortable and try to follow every uneven line they can find. OK if you've got good surfaces.

its going to be an autocross car buts its also my daily driver, i also want tires the same size front and rear so when i wear out the backs i can swith em around
