19 in vette rims and slammed!
hey guys, i plan on getting 19in Zr1 rims for my camaro. but i need some help, the wesite that sells them offers them in 56+ or 79+ mm offsets. Now idk which set to get. I NEED that flush look, i want the tires to be flush with the fenders, or at least pretty damn close.
Now on top of all of this, im going to slam my car 1.8 inches this winter! so u guys see any fitment issues that i may need to know?
any opnions and comments are welcome!
link to the rims, its the 19 in c6 zr1 rims.

Re: 19 in vette rims and slammed!
+56 offset is the one you want.
the more positive of an offset the wheel, the more spacer you have to run behind it. I can post a couple of pictures of my setup with the c5 z06 wheels..they sit pretty flush with the fenders, I wouldn't want them to stick out anymore than they do already though.
I run 2.25" adapters in the front and 2" in the back. I'm considering even stepping down to a 2" in the front because they do stick out quite a bit. The size of my wheels are only 17x9.5 and the offset is +54 so I guess if I were to recommend an adapter for your idea..I'd say 2.25" all the way around for you.
Edit: here's some pics with 2.25" in the front and 2" in the rear.

Because a seriously aggressive drop is like 2+". The reason why you haven't found springs that do that is because there aren't companies that make springs like that. From what I've gathered most people buy some stiff moog stock replacements and cut them down to achieve the desired ride height.
Plus it's cheaper, about half the price of doing say..eibachs.

Re: 19 in vette rims and slammed!
Because nothing off the shelf is going to get you slammed. My cars lowered over 3" and it's barely tucking tire yet has plenty of ground clearance, no rubbing, etc. Its perfectly streetable. I guess it's because I also drive a VW that you can barely slide a credit card between the tire and fender, and will high center on a pack of cigarettes. Yet is in the middle of the pack as far as being defined as slammed. My definition is a little more extreme than the typical F-body owner.

mine too is a berlinetta and i was going with 18's and lowering kit...didnt have the look i wanted...so i went with 17's and ground effects...still not as low as i would like..but heck i scrap in places now with my stance...so the way to go is air ...save up and go that route..to low and you will drag on everything..jmo...good luck

Re: 19 in vette rims and slammed!
heres a pic of mine with 17's. i have 2" lowering springs. the springs havent settled yet, so the ride height will change. the rears have action traction lift bars, but those will be getting swapped out with umi double adjustable arms

Re: 19 in vette rims and slammed!
if you're willing to spend the money for it i'd recommend using weight jacks or coil over if you really want it to get it low, i have weightjacks and i'm sitting at just over 2.75 inches off the ground with 17in c4 zr1s.
where i'm from though, slammed means you would scrape on the salt flats, having your car 2in or more off the ground is not "slammed".
