Another 4th Gen wheel question...
Greetings all, long time car guy, first time 3rd Gen owner...
Recently bought an 89 Formula with some weird and badly corroded TTIIs with heavily worn tires and I need a change.
Original factory wheels would be my first choice but can't seem to locate any in my area in my price range, so:
I saw this pic of a Formula like mine sporting these 4th Gen Firebird wheels...
And thought it looked pretty good, and there is a set of these wheels with good tires for sale not far away and in my price range...
...so my questions is, if I were to buy these wheels, do I need spacers? Front and rear? Front only? Rear only?
You get the idea.
Thanks for any advice you can give!

Yep. You'll hafta buy adapters for them to fit up front. For the rear, you can swap in a complete 4th gen axle & then you wouldn't need the adapters out back. But there is no way around needing adapters for the front.
IMHO, by the time you buy wheels & adapters, you can just buy wheels that fit & not end up having 40 lug nuts + the extra parts (the adapters) weight.

OK, thanks. BTW, for the sake of argument, what size adapters would I need? Couldn't afford a 4th Gen axle so sounds like would need adapters for the rear too?
Considering all options for stretching my limited $$$
Thanks again!

Helpful info, thank you. I think I'll just start with tires on the existing TTIIs, polish them up best I can and save my pennies for the right wheels/tires at a later time.
