3.1 fuel return line question

Hi All,

I have a ‘92 Camaro TPI intake that I’m going to install on a 3.1L engine in an ‘88 S10 Blazer. ECU will be a Holley Terminator-X.

Hey all… what is the funky “canister” in the middle of the return hard line (mounted to the front of the manifold)? It almost looks like a fuel filter, but it seems to be bonded/welded to the return line.

Any help is greatly appreciated - thank you!!

Re: 3.1 fuel return line question

Sounds like you're describing the fuel damper, which is in the feed line...

Post a picture so that we can see exactly what it is you're asking about.

Re: 3.1 fuel return line question

Sorry - you are absolutely correct; it is in the feed line!

Im reading that the damper do smooths out injector-caused pulses in the feed line, potentially reducing noise. Is that all it does - quiet things down? Is it replaceable (does that cap just pry off?)

thank you!
