3.4L Iron Turbo Bird Dyno Graph - 325rwhp STD

Got the final numbers on my Turbo Firebird 3.4 Iron head. 325hp and 334.4 ft lbs at the wheels @ 14.0 PSI. STD numbers on a dynocom dyno. He said if he could have loaded the dyno more it would have made more torque, but loading the dyno made the car want to downshift. He could only load it to 10% I believe he said. He also had to roll into the throttle to keep it from downshifting. Probably wasn't full throttle till about 3500 rpm. Temp was about 68 degrees and it had been raining so high humidity. He said a bone stock auto LS1 typically makes 260ish hp at the wheels on his dyno. Keep in mind this is with the intake port humps 100% removed. I guess removing them doesn't hurt if you turbo. After this pull we backed it down to 10.5PSI and it made 281rwhp and 311.9rwtq. All this on 93 pump gas. Top line was with stock plug gaps at 9psi. The middle pulls were 17, 16, 15, PSI pulls on accident trying to get the boost controller down to where we wanted it and the car had ran out of fuel at that boost level. Fueling and timing were left at a very safe level. I'm happy to answer any questions but you can check my build threads for all the details.

Damn those are some sweet numbers for real. Must be a blast to drive. Now Imajine how much more Hp/TQ you could make with the aluminum heads.. I bet with the turbo kit and all, your car still weights less than a Stock Iroc L98. Sweet bro.

Thanks buddy. It sure is fun. I haven't weighed my car but it is about as light as a stock 3rd gen gets. hard top. no gfx. Yeah with aluminum heads would be wild. But i'm blown away I made this much with iron.

Those dyno numbers sound about right to the wheels. I also ran a turbo 3.4 with the ground down intake bumps @ 15psi. I never had the car dynoed but estimated 375 to 400 hp at the crank.

I had a special grind Delta camshaft ( don't remember the specs), 1.6 crane rockers, my own port and polish job. Walbro 255 liter fuel pump with hot wire kit. Homemade upper plenum, intercooled with meth injection. Aluminum driveshaft, stock lt1 rear with 3.42 gears and drag bag. 3 inch downpipe with exhaust cutout. Stock ignition with a MSD box to retard timing. Glad to see you keeping the 3.4 torch going.

I saw that you had full rollers. I had done research and saw many people say they wouldn't fit. I couldn't afford to buy them and then them not fit. wish I could have seen your for sale post in time.

Howd I miss this thread? Yea you beat my iron 3.1 my best was 12.88@104mph on 12 psi of boost. Delta 260 cam hydro flat t cam, else then that and some ported heads all stock motor, rear, etc. But I'll still claim the fastest 3.1l all iron with a slip. Best on the 3.1-3100 was 11.59@119mph 15psi. Best on the 3.4-3400 was 11.23@123mph 15psi. Much better with the hybrid set up

Nice run man. Love it!
