86 firebird 2.8 5speed manual decel valve
Apparently this valve only came on the V6 five-speeds.. I have a very high idle and I’m thinking this might be the cause of my vacuum leak I have one hose that runs from behind the manifold to the top of the decel valve The middle connection has a hose hanging from it which is not connected to anything Just sucking air and then the bottom connection has nothing connected to it and it’s not blowing or sucking air. Air pump is just venting into engine not connected to anything
High idle started after I pressure washed the engine. I didn’t see any hose fall off but not impossible I guess... otherwise I’m guessing I shorted a sensor engine lags a bit on acceleration... if I put it in gear and drive idle drops from 2000 to 1500 until I shut it off and restart it then it idles back up to 2000
sprayed carb cleaner on all hoses and on intake couldn’t find leak. Also blew smoke into lines and nothing. Car ran amazing before this please help.

Also I unplugged hose from top of decel and plugged it into the front of EGR and idle immediately dropped to normal.. tried to drive and drives good but brakes get very stiff. If I plug the line with my finger idle rises
