2.8 Charcoal Canister Delete?
Hey guys and gals,
I'm mid through a full restoration on a 2.8 V6 'bird and I've hit a snag. The charcoal canister is toast. It's absolute trash. Every component is non functional or rotten and I can't get the bits here cheaply enough to warrant its rebuild (UK).
Will I have any running issues if I simply block the evap line and use a vented gas cap? Or use a vented gas cap with a fuel filter on the end of the evap line? I need 'from experience' answers not opinions on this one please.
Your help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
Rich

Re: 2.8 Charcoal Canister Delete?
I was under the impression that aside from the serpentine setup and MPFI V6 was pretty much the same right through until the 3.1 was introduced. It's the same strengthened crank and components as the 89 I had!!!
How did u remove it? Did u cap the like or vent it?
