Re: looking to do some head work.

3500 heads wont go onto a 3.1L or a 2.8L.

3500 only will fit up to a 3400 or obvously a 3500.

You can use 3100/3400 heads on the 3.1L but make sure you get the large port ones. I cant remember the years off hand as im new to the whole hybrid thing but I know my 2002 3400 impala heads are large ports.

Re: looking to do some head work.

If you are going to do all the work of swapping a 4.3, you can put in a 350 for the same amount of effort and a better outsome. a 4.3 is literally a 350 with 2 cylinders missing. The mounting is the same, the trans needed is the same.....

Re: looking to do some head work.

If u want to swap to a v8 then do it. If not then stick with the v6 and make some hp. You have a great engine that can take some abuse and a good ECM toe sizably tune. It's possible. There was a solid 14.90s all motor 3.1l v6 on here and my high 12 sec turbo 3.1 so it is possible. Just saying.....
