Speedo maxed out

So tried searching for this and I'm sure its answered somewhere but can't seem to find it. Have a 92 3.1 sitting around for quite some time. Got it running but problem is speedo is all the way maxed out at all times. What could be the problem?
thanks
Mitch

Re: Speedo maxed out

I hear that 90-92 gauge clusters often had problems like this and I'm not sure of how to fix it.

Re: Speedo maxed out

must be the newer electro speedo design on the 700R4, cable wouldn't do that.

Tap it with a screw driver if that don't work which i bet it wont is to unplug your speedo cable from the transmission. and if that don't work you need a new gauge cluster speedo or tom tom.
