Heater valve and tb delete?
I can't find a definitive answer for deleting the heater valve and bypassing the throttle body. The small pipe from the water pump sends water to the heater and throttle body and back to a pipe at the thermostat housing. Can I plug both of those and not have a flow from the pump to the thermostat housing? Or must there be a flow for some reason?

use a section of hose to bypass it, still flowing but not into TB.
never had one, gets plenty cold here in NW Ohio, its not needed.

Not just bypassing TB. I've got no heater so can I plug the output from the pump and the inlet on the thermostat housing? Or must coolant still flow from the pump to the thermostat for some reason?

Re: Heater valve and tb delete?
oif u want to completly eliminate the system take the thermostat out and drill 2-4 1/8th inch holes in the sides of the thermostat , and then plug off the reat of the system , drilling the holes alows for some coolant flow around the stst without the rest of the system in place
2 holes should be enough , i have 4 on my 355 turbo motor , with no heat or other bypass system and it works just fine , though we just got our first snow so ill be putting the heater back in , the camaro is still cheaper to drive day to day when the roads are good compared to the chevy 2500 4wd silverado

Got it. I'd probably go with a pipe direct form the pump to the thermostat so re-instating for smog (CA) will be easier. Thanks.

none of the heating system has anything to do with smog check, so u should just be fine getting plugs or caps
