Get a fuel pressure test gauge, should be above 36psi (to 45psi at wot).
Check your ignition timing, make sure it advances when you rev it.
You might have as clogged cat, can you gut it in your area?

You need a timing light to check the ign. timing.

did this all start happening all of a sudden? or did u just buy the car and it had this problem? deffinatly sounds like timing, and esc modules and knock sensors are a prime suspect if this happened instantaniously. if it was a progression, then check out the timing chain. i know the correct amount of wear is suppose to be 40k miles. but no one hardly ever changes them that often

A timing light has 3 connections, 1 to the postive battery connection, another to the negitive side, the 3rd hooks to the #1 spack plug wire (pass. side front wire).
Get the engine warm, then follow the the instructions on the emissions sticker, this will tell you the timing spec & a certain wire to unplug to put the ecm into timing mode. You point the timing light at the balancer behind the crank pulley, theres a scale on the engine w/ numbers on it, the balancer has a notch. When the engine is running the light will flash & show the timing marks & notch.
If its off you have to loosen the distributor hold down bolt (15mm) slightly, then rotate the dist. till the notch lines up w/ the number on the scale.
Reconnect the timing connector, point the light at the scale, rev the engine & the notch should move up & off the scale.
Do you have a repair manual? If not, get one.
