here are a bunch of good pics of the turbo headers i built so you guys can copy them give me a few days and i will have measurements of each tube for ya. and after i get all the pics posted i will even post up a parts listing with prices for each piece of tubing and the flanges.

ill post up the part numbers for both the stainless and the mild steel eqiv from mc master car

first up the driver side header

this may clear the ac compressor i am not sure, i had removed mine before i even started

Re: build ur own turbo headers

ok 90* elbows

you will need 11 of these

these are for stainless notice it says 1 1/4 pipe the inside diam is actually 1.442 inch and outside diam is 1.660

Part Number: 45735K217 $9.24 Each
http://www.mcmaster.com/#stainless-s...d-pipe/=611ngd

and some stright pipe
one 36 inch long piece should be enough

Part Number: 4347K342 $40.13 Each
http://www.mcmaster.com/#stainless-s...ttings/=611qsy

now im sure many of you are asking yourselves i know he said the stianless was very exspensive whys this stuff so cheap.
thie stuff i listed is 304/304L stainless hence why the wall thickness is .109 and not .065
304 stainless is not ideal cause it is prone to cracking but if the correct thickness is used and its welded properly it is fine, unlike the cheap ultra thin stainless headers sld on ebay for various cars.
ideally u want to use 316L or 321 stainless but even in 316L the prices for those elbows would go from 9 bucks each to around 35 bucks each

ill finish listing up some stuff in a lil bit

Re: build ur own turbo headers

no its not but u can put the turbo wereever you like by modifiying the crossover pipe anyway you want.my is now modified so that the turbo sits off to the side of the motor instead of out front like a grandnational type setup

just a heads up if u dont have a tig welder u need to build them out of mild steel

u cannot mig weld the stainless steel
( u can with the right mig wire and gas but its not as strong and very ugly looking not to mention exspensive )

using mild steel u can weld the whole thing together using a cheap 80 harbor frieght flux core welder

It's been sitting for a good long while in a different town... no chance to do anything with it. One of these days I swear I will bring the 3.4 home to refresh.
