Exhaust vid of the V6

Ok many people have been waiting for this. Me and 2 other friends put this vid together in a few hours. I will let vid do the explaing about the car. Vid was taking with a digital camera and came out amazing dont think there could have been much more of an improvement with a vid camera. Thanks goes out to *******pimpin351 and gary. Car has 107,000 miles is a 1992 Firebird V6 with a 1991 formula hood and 1991 formula front bumper. swapped out the stock taillights for the grid taillights. Car has the 2.8L headers with high flow cat, 2 1/2 inch flowmaster 80 series.

glad you were ok with me posting it here and not under exhaust cause the v8 boys might not have wanted to hear it.

Re: Exhaust vid of the V6

Sounds slightly better than mine did N/A because of your headers. The turbo makes a big difference, but I haven't got a sound clip of that (keep blowing motors, lol).

Here's the cat back and I think this was with 1.6 rockers (the 1.7's sounded better, but the stock springs weren't verry happy with them)...

Both cars sound pretty good. I'll have to get one of mine up once I get the car running again.

Both sound good. I cant wait until I get my engine done to see what it will sound like. I took this short video to show what I started with to compair it to what I end up with. All I have done is a Dynomax super turbo exhaust.

Is it just me or do the cars with the dynomax muffler sound deeper. It may just be me since I have one.

I agree, I think they sound deeper and less "crackly".

I find that the flowmaster has more of a rumble to it but they all sound simulia in the vids. I know its an expensive exhaust but i want to know what a GMMG Chambered exhaust would sound like

Does anyone have an exhaust that isn't dynomax or flowmaster. I'd like to hear a magnaflow possibly.

I noticed mine is not a Dynomax while working on the car, it's actually some other brand I never heard of. Seems like I have been running into lots of mis-info lately about my car. I'll look at the name and let you know later.

Dima you convinced me. I am going with a magnaflow muffler now. There isn't nearly as much rasp with that over my dynomax. Whic muffler did you get BTW.

I'm not sure what one I got. I just asked for high-flow performance and he hooked it up with a muffler with 3" connectors =P it's not the bullet style or anything though just a normal muffler. if you can't find one i guess i could always call and ask haha

and thanks ^^

What is there to "worry" about, other than the torque curve being moved a bit? I have stock manifolds with a fully welded 2.5" catless system through a Dynomax. Been that way for 10+ years, and I haven't seen any issues yet, but would like to aware of something that I may be missing...

Re: Exhaust vid of the V6

Here's a clip of my car. I got headers, !cat, Dynomax cat-back. 2.25" y-pipe to 2.5" for the rest of the exhaust.

Its not raspy like the flowmaster. What size is your tailpipes because in the vid they dont look 2.5" they look like stock size. And sound was effected by the wind.
