Which 3.4 and ECM/harness to throw in the IROC

Sorry in advance for the pingponging of ideas in this post. I've got too many ideas and not sure which way to go with the V6 stuff.

Well, I'm building an '86 Z28 (IROC clone) as a summer car for the g/f over winter and I'm trying to decide what motor to put in it. I've debated between an LB9, L98, LC2, LT1, LS4 5.3, LS1, and an LQ9 6.0. Now I'm thinking about a turbo 3.4L (my LS1 is too loud, and she likes the BOV sound anyways ). Obviously some of these routes are cheaper/easier than others, but those thoughts have been considered. I'm not scared of wiring or modifying things to make stuff work.

Need a few basics answered and I should be good to go on my merry way. Plans are to run initially under 10psi intercooled, so I believe the stock bottom end will survive that with a good tune. What are the advantages to different year bottom ends, 91-latest? Forged rods, etc. I know about the different heads available and will definitely use aluminum. I'd prefer to use the 3400 heads for the added flow. Will also probably have a custom cam of sorts.

Intake manifold is dependent upon which motor is purchased, but whichever the case will be ported or possibly a custom/hybrid intake of some sort.

I don't mind running DIS or distributor, I can make either one work. That depends on the computer that is used. Which harness/ECM should I work with? I have everything required to tune a TPI computer, so if the V6 systems are the same, I can do that. I also don't care whether it is MAF or SD as I have a 2-bar MAP sensor laying around. I can buy the stuff to tune the later ECMs as well if need be because I'd just use that and my LS1 as the two licenses. An actual thirdgen harness would probably be best if my tuning equipment would work on it (2.8 MAF vs. 3.1 SD?). Hell another option would be just using a TPI harness/ECM and modifying it for use on a V6. Megasquirt is an option, but a stock harness would probably be easiest.

Will use one of the ebay turbos to begin with. Will be following the basic plan of the sticky, but with many of my own changes. *cough* boost-referenced/controlled alcohol inj and intercooler nitrous sprayer (have lots of extra parts laying around in the garage from other projects, lol) Project will be picture/video documented once it begins. Needs to be finished by April

Car will be automatic for the time being, with a 3.42 or 3.73 rear gear depending on which rear I decide to put in.
