Pixs of my Strut Brace
I thought I would share some pictures of my strut tower brace. I had to modify the "ear" pieces in order to get this to work. I orginally bought the brace from a local speed shop for $20.

cool! right on ., very good to know!,.., hey while were on this topic i wanted to get this off my mind!! it seems to me folks just connect one side of stbs any where near the top of the shock/strut tower.,,. now it would seem to place the connecter on top of the shock would be correct,. and connect it to the other/./.now so pics ive seen on here show them being mounted to the side of the brace on the frame ., Why is that??

dave u make a custom brace for v6?
my BMR stb didnt fit my car,
i have ac compressor on left side of engine bay and it seems to interfere a little..
if u do make a custom one, any pics?
and will it fit 91 3.1 RS with A/C on left side?
and it'll mount to the shock cover will it?
I dont want the one that attaches to the frame as I dont believe it gives
any effect..

heh i actually have a 2pt bar in stock at the shop.ill have to find the pics i posted a long time ago.but they mount inbetween the ears on the strut mount.the main reason for this is clearance over the ac compressor and the tb.mine will only fit with stock steel hoods, and aftermarket steel hoods.and fiberglass bolton hoods will hit due to the bracing on the underside.
when i get out of work and home today ill post up the pics for u.and i can tell u first hand it makes a world of diff,i was pissed when i had to take mine off cause of the fiberglass hood.just havent goten around to making another one for my self yet

hah u are the man, thnx.the last picture shows the clear reason why u cant move the bar back anyfurther.it wont clear the ac compressor,or the tb,and if u pick it up any higher it will hit the hood, which brings up another point i can only say for sure these fit on camaros, apparently birds dont have the same hood clearance(i have yet to verify this).that seem u see on the close end of the bar is were i weld the adjusters, the adjusters are machined down to slip inside the chromoly tubing before i weld them.for a stronger joint.the bars have a lefthand and righthand threaded adjuster,so u can put preload on the bars.thnx again leo now i just have to find the finished pics once i cleaned everythign up
