Car running kinda bad
Ok, here's the deal. I went on a trip from L.A. to AZ, 600 miles each way, and before that, the car was running perfect. Now that I'm back from the trip, the car is hard to start cold, and it always bogs when leaving a stop. It seems to do it all the time at about 1500 rpm. What coulod be the sudden problem here. You would never be able to tell there was a problem after you start moving, so i'm kinda stumped.

I'm no expert but ...
Check out your air filters and clean out your throttle body with some carb spray and wipe it dry. If it's still bad, maybe you have a small vacuum leak? I'm not quite sure, but it's worth a try

ok, so the problem is slowly getting worse. I'm thinking it's probably my air filters, but to check that correctly, I would have to run the car without the filters. How long do you think this would be ok for, a few minutes, or do you think that I can run the car without them from home to work(about 23 miles) just once so that I can get the car into closed loop mode and drive around a little on it. I live in L.A., so the roads aren't really dirty. Next Idea is the fuel filter, I think I'll just change both of them just for the hell of it though.

air filters are dirt cheap and shoud be changed every 6-12k anyhow... go get one and try it out... worst case you don't have to change the filter for a while...
Edit, as long as no threat of dust, you can run without the air filter for as long as you like... it's not recommended that you drive without it though... some people do drag runs without a filter... no big whoop.

Yup, could be the fuel filter. If it were the fuel filter though, it would bog down during normal driving as well. Visually check the air filter. Running the engine w/out air filter sounds kinda risky.
Check your sensors and valves (egr, pcv, o2, check cold start valve for leakage, etc.)

ok, I think I have come to a conclusion. It's the fuel filter. I noticed today that when I drive, the car kinda surges and jumps around during normal acceleration through almost all the gears. Kinda like the pressure comes up, then is released, then comes up again, then releases. New filter going in tomorrow so hopefully bye bye problems.

Changed the filter today. Havn't taken it out for a drive yet though, but even if the fuel filter wasn't the problem, I think it was time for it to get replaced anyway. When I dumped out the old filter, the gas was black, not the usual clear color, and once the gas evaporated, it left behind A LOT of dirt. Probably the problem, but if not, the $4.69 was worth it just because.
